Vinegar to Cure or Minimize Cat Dandruff Problems?

This time we wanted to try some new things to deal with cat dandruff problem.

Vinegar is believed to work with human dandruff problem. The similar cure in some rural areas, is the water used to wash rice, according to a report. The reason behind all those methods is quite simple. Vinegar or some acid things are believed to be able to remove dead skin from the scalp, which causes dandruff. By eliminating this kind of dead skin from the scalp, you will be dealing with the root of the problem.

Why don't many anti-dandruff shampoos and other stuff work? The reason is that they cause buildup in the scalp which leads to dandruff or dead skin. Vinegar works to eliminate the dead skin instead of causing dandruff.

This works for human beings and also works for one of my cats. No one can tell if this works for your cat. You need to be very careful in trying this method to see if this works for your cat, as all cats are different. This COULD be a cure for cat dandruff, but no one can make sure it works for your cat dandruff problem. Consult your vet is recommended.

So how exactly do you use the vinegar? Do you make the cat eat it? Do you put it in his bathwater? I notice our cat's fur smells very soapy (like the soap we use in bubble baths) -- yet we never bathe him. I figure maybe he rolled around in the empty bathtub, but this cannot be good for him when he licks it, right?

Yes, I agree.

I just rub some vinegar into the cat's fur.

Dandruff is a very common skin condition that nearly all people experience at one point in their lives regardless of age or ethnicity. Even animals suffer from dandruff.

The most common cause of dandruff is dry skin. Sometimes using the wrong hair care products also cause irritations on your scalp. When these irritations get out of control you suffer from dandruff, too.
